It’s an all-too-common dilemma in today’s modern world: at do you do when you’re watching a livestream on your phone but need to switch to a different app? Twitch thinks it has a solution by borrowing an idea from TV—picture-in-picture.

The latest update to Twitch for Android features a new “p-Out ayer” that lets you keep tabs on your livestreams while browsing the web, checking email, texting your friends, or otherwise go about your business on your phone. As you work, your Twitch livestream will continue to play in a small window in the corner of your phone’s screen.

You can switch to the p-Out ayer—or switch back to the regular in-app player—at any time with the press of a button, resize the p-Out ayer as you see fit.

The p-Out ayer appears to be exclusive to the Android version of the Twitch app, at least for the time being. If you have the Twitch app on your phone have automatic updates turned on, you may already have the newest version. If not, you can download the latest version for free from ay.
