Report: Samsung slated to announce the Galaxy Note 4, another wearable this September

It’s a Samsung-heavy news day around these parts.

Both Korea es the ll Street urnal report that Samsung will unveil a whole host of gadgets devices at this year’s IFA fair in Berlin, Germany. The company will introduce its Glass competitor, a curved Ultra HD TV, its smart home services this fall. An executive from one of Samsung’s partners also said that the company will launch its Galaxy Note 3 successor, the Galaxy Note 4.

“The Note 4 will have two versions―one with a curved OD display for niche markets the other a flat OD display for mass marketing,” the executive told the Korea es. The Note 4 device designated for “niche markets” will likely be the model that’s packed with high-performing specifications, including a QHD display a Snapdragon 805 processor, while the “mass market” version might contain mid-range specifications, akin to last year’s Galaxy Mega.

“The key question for Samsung that should be answered is whether it is ready to exp its technological innovation beyond hardware products,” said an executive at another Samsung partner. This year’s IFA starts September 5.
