Android Wear gets new designer watch faces from nine fashion brands

The collection of watch faces for Android Wear smartwatches has been steadily growing since the platform was launched (and so has the number of watches powered by the platform), and Google has today launched new ones in partnership with major fashion brands.

The new watch faces come from nine brands, including Ted Baker, Nicole Miller, Vivienne Tam, Mango, and Zoe Jordan (if you haven’t heard most of these names, you’re not alone.) The takeaway is that Android Wear users now have more premium watch faces to choose from. A lot of work clearly went behind them as all of the faces look well made and offer a variety of visual styles.

The new watch faces are available for all Android Wear smartwatches from Google Play (with the iPhone versions coming in the days ahead.) As usual, the watch faces will download to your phone (or tablet) before heading to your watch. That can take a bit of time as the transfer takes place over Bluetooth, so don’t be disappointed if you don’t immediately see the watch face in the Android Wear app.
