At IFA in Berlin today, Asus announced the successor to the ZenWatch 2: the ZenWatch 3. The smartwatch now comes with a circular 1.39-inch display, and its body is made of 316L stainless steel for a premium look and feel. Like its predecessor, the ZenWatch 3 also features an IP67 rating.

The circular AMOLED screen does not feature any ‘flat tire’ like seen on the Moto 360, and features three buttons on its right for easier navigation. The 9.95mm thick smartwatch is among the first in the market to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset, which allows the smartwatch to offer up to two days of battery life. It also boasts of quick charging capabilities dubbed HyperCharge that is capable of charging the battery to 60% in just 15 minutes when used with the bundled magnetic charger.

The ZenWatch 3 will be available in three colors: silver, rose gold, and gunmetal. The bands of the smartwatch are interchangeable, with Asus providing various options in leather and metal.

Running the latest version of Android Wear, Asus preloads 50 (!) different watch faces on the ZenWatch 3, with a bunch of them being fully customizable using a companion smartphone app. There is also a new ZenFit activity tracking app that is capable of counting your steps, provide reminders to stand periodically, and offer other health related tips.

The Asus ZenWatch 3 will be available for €229 in Europe, with its price in the United States likely being around $299. Asus, however, did not provide any details about the availability of the smartwatch.
