Dell Venue 10 7000

Back in January of 2015, Dell officially let loose the Dell Venue 8 7000, a remarkably thin Android-based tablet with an “Infinity Display,” and a very unique design.

Now, Dell is back at it again with a slightly larger tablet, keeping the trend of a unique design and an even more interesting naming scheme to go along with it. On Wednesday, it was revealed that Dell will soon launch the Venue 10 7000, which is an Android-based tablet with a 10.5-inch display.

As far as specifications go, aside from the larger display, there isn’t quite a bit different from the newest Venue 10 7000 when compared to the older Venue 8 7000. That means there’s still the same Intel Atom Z3580 processor under the hood, along with 2GB of RAM. There’s the same 8-megapixel camera on the back, too. The display still packs a resolution of 2560×1600 as well.

The battery, though, has been upgraded to a 7000mAh option, rather than the 5900mAh battery found in the smaller tablet.

The Venue 10 7000 also features a large cylinder on one of the sides of the tablet. It’s pretty obvious when looking at the new device, and that’s where the speakers and battery are housed. There’s no denying that the original Venue 8 7000 had one of the more interesting designs for a tablet at the beginning of the year, but it looks like Dell’s looking to outdo itself.

There’s an option keyboard that Dell says it will offer around the same time the tablet launches, which is penciled in for late April. Without the keyboard, the Venue 10 7000 will retail for $499, while the keyboard accessory will set customers back $130.
