Got yourself a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge and now looking for some accessories to pair with the handset? Since Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S handsets are among the most popular Android smartphones in the market, there are plenty of accessories available for them.

Some of these accessories will make your life more convenient, while others will help in making your Galaxy S7 stand out from the crowd. Obviously, not all the below accessories are a must-have, but chances are, buying a couple of them will definitely make the experience of using your Galaxy S7 easier and your life more convenient.

#5 Wireless charger

One of the ‘cool’ features of the Galaxy S7 series is that they feature wireless charging. Its not true wireless charging, since the wireless charger itself has to be connected to a wall socket and your phone must be placed properly on the wireless charger. Nonetheless, while wireless charging might seem gimmicky at first, it does make it convenient to charge your device. Keep a wireless charger on your office desk and your bedside table and you will never have to worry about running out of juice on your Galaxy S7 and fumble with wires again. Plus, its a great feature that you can show off to your iPhone friends whom Samsung popularly referred to as wall huggers in one of its ads last year.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge feature fast wireless charging which means that they will charge almost as fast wirelessly as they do when charged using a traditional quick charger. However, you must use a fast wireless charger, and sadly, the official fast wireless charger from Samsung is on the expensive side. You can have a look at alternative fast wireless chargers from ChoeTech that usually retail for less than half of what Samsung sells its fast wireless charger for. The build quality of the charger is not that great and they don’t look as good as Samsung’s official wireless charger, but then you can do get them for pretty cheap.

#4 Multi-Port USB wall charger

A wireless charger requires being plugged to a wall socket constantly which means that you will have to sacrifice one power plug. This is really not that big of a deal, but in most places, people usually only have 1 or 2 wall power plugs free. When you have multiple devices to charge at once though, the lack of free power plugs can get frustrating. A multi-port USB wall charger can be extremely handy in such cases.

They are available in 3 and 5-USB port variations to cater to the charging needs of all your devices. These chargers also feature at least one USB port that features Quick Charge 2.0 support, so you can still charge your smartphone rapidly.

#3 Cover-Up cases

Since the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge feature a glass back design, they are prone to getting scratched easily, and in worse case scenarios, they can even crack pretty easily. Thus, it is pretty important to use a case on the handset. There are already plenty of cases available for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, but if you are looking for something different, try one of the wood back cases from Cover-Up. They are slightly expensive, but are available in a variety of wooden variants and offer top notch protection. Their build quality is impeccable, and since they are made of wood, every case has a unique texture at its rear.

If you want to make your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge standout from the crowd, I highly recommended buying a Woodback case from Cover-Up.

#2 Car Charger

Sure, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge offer excellent battery life, but that does not mean you don’t will not need to top them off on days of particularly heavy usage. In such cases, a car charger can come in handy, especially if you travel long distances. Thanks to smartphones booming in popularity, prices of car charges have fallen significantly, and you can now buy one for as as much as only $10. In fact, AmazonBasics itself offers a dual USB charger for only $7.99. You also get chargers with Quick Charge 2.0 support, though they are usually priced at $14.99.

#1 Lens Cover

Samsung usually launches a wide array of official accessories along with its flagship handsets. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are no different in this regard, and the company launched its usual array of cases and accessories for them. Official cases and accessories are usually overpriced, but Samsung did launch one very interesting accessory for the Galaxy S7: Lens cover. Targeted towards photography buffs, the lens cover provides two exchangeable lens options – telephoto and wide angle. Simply install it on the back of your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge, and you will be shooting photos and videos in a completely new angle.

Lens Cover is a pretty unique accessory and unlikely to find many takers, so its not surprising that Samsung is only selling it in limited parts of the world. If the limited availability was not a deterrent for you, the extremely high price tag — €149.99 ($175) — surely is going to be for many. If you have the money to blow though, the Lens cover for Samsung Galaxy S7 sure is an accessory that you can add to your collection.
