When Google announced the new Nexus 7, they unveiled three product SKUs. The 16 GB WiFi model, the 32 GB WiFi model, and the 32 GB 4G LTE model. That last one is the one everyone wants, and unfortunately, no one knows when it’ll go on sale. One lucky in China that goes by the online handle “crazyfreely” recently bought a 32 GB WiFi Nexus 7, or at least he thought he did.

Upon taking his device out of the box, he noticed that it had a SIM card tray. Low and behold, he actually got his hands on the elusive LTE variant of the Nexus 7. Did some factory worker mislabel a box and ship a store the wrong units? Possibly. Only one report of this tablet existing has surfaced, however, so this could very well just be a tiny accident.

How much longer are we going to have to wait for the LTE Nexus? No dates have officially been published, but I’m going to spoil everything for you right now and say September. No way it’ll come out by the end of this month because Google will have enough hard time feeding demand to all the countries where they want to launch the device.

So I’d say September. Probably late September at that.
