The top 5 Samsung Galaxy S4 hands-on videos

Two days ago, Samsung announced their 2013 flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S4. I’ve been watching quite a few hands-on videos of the device because I was unable to attend the product unveiling in New York City, and here are, what I think, the best videos currently on YouTube.

Let’s start with the one produced by The Verge. It’s a hair over four minutes long and runs through almost everything you need to know about the phone. You all know about The Verge, so I don’t need to tell you about their amazing video production team.

Next up is a video from MobiWatch. Chances are you haven’t head of the site since it’s primarily in German, but don’t worry, the video below is in English. It’s a little under seven minutes long, and what I like about it is that the person recording the hands-on brings his own pocket microscope to demonstrate the new subpixel arrangement in the S4 versus the S3. You don’t see that every day!

In third place is a video from Engadget that’s almost eight and a half minutes long, but that’s because it’s incredibly comprehensive. They go through just about every single software feature that Samsung announced on stage at their event. Audio quality isn’t the best, but it gets the job done.

Next to last is a video from Pocketnow that’s more of a GS3 versus GS4 comparison video than a video about the GS4, which is kind of cheating, but let’s be honest, most people are going to want to know what’s different with the “new” Galaxy compared to the “old” Galaxy. It’s only four minutes long, so it’s worth a watch.

Finally, there’s a six minute software tour of the GS4, courtesy of PhoneDog. It’s quick and dirty, and most of the video features the phone in some guy’s lap, but it gets Samsung’s new software across well.

Like I said earlier, expect a ton more GS4 videos to hit the new once this thing comes out.
