Sprint LivePro Android projector

The best kind of device is the one that has an answer for all of the things you might need, and even some things you may have never known you needed at all. For some, that could mean that Sprint’s new LivePro device, an Android-powered machine that isn’t a smartphone or tablet, could just be the perfect combination of so many different things.

At first glance, the LivePro from Sprint would just look like any other box with a somewhat large touchscreen on it. But once you turn it on, you’ll immediately realize that it’s not so much the black box that makes it stand out, but all the individual parts that build up the whole. First and foremost, but only one aspect of all the interesting pieces, is the fact the LivePro runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Which, officially, means the LivePro is a pocket projector that runs Android 4.2. A projector that can display an image on a wall ranging from 10-inches to 10-feet, and has a brightness level of 100 lumens.

But what if you just need a mobile hotspot, and all you have is a pocket projector? Sprint has you covered, because the LivePro also stands in as a 3G/4G LTE mobile hotspot. With it, you’ll be able to have up to eight devices connected to it at one time. You’ll be able to access the features and functions of the Android-powered projector/hotspot with the 4-inch touchscreen on the top of it.

The projector/hotspot boasts a 5,000mAh lithium ion battery inside, which you can actually use to charge a smartphone or other gadget while it’s connected with a USB cable.

Sprint’s release for the new LivePro puts a focus on businesses, especially for the individual who may need a projector in a business meeting, but they’re also quick to point out that the device can be used for just about anything one might need a projector or mobile hotspot.

Sprint is putting the LivePro up for sale through its direct sales channels mostly, but you may be able to find it in your local Sprint retail store, too. It will go on sale July 11, and you can grab it for $0 down if you opt for $18.75 per month, for 24 months.
