Setting a custom ringtone on your Moto G5 or Moto G5s is pretty easy, though requires quite a few steps.
Step 1: Transfer the custom ringtone to the handset’s internal storage inside a folder called ‘ringtone.’ This folder should already be present so you will not need to create one with the same name.
Step 2: With the ringtone file transferred, head over to Settings -> Sound -> Phone ringtone. The ringtone that you transferred in the previous step should show up in the list. Simply tap on it and press the Save button located on the top-right.
You have now successfully managed to set a custom ringtone on your Moto G5 or Moto G5s/Plus.
How to Set Custom Ringtone for Individual Contacts On Moto G5 and Moto G5s
Step 1: On your Moto G5/Plus or G5s/Plus, open the Contacts app and navigate to the contact for which you want to set a custom ringtone.
Step 2: Tap on the contact’s listing to get their detailed overview. From here, tap the 3-dot overflow menu button followed by the Set ringtone option. The ringtone picker will now open from where you will be able to select any ringtone of your choice.

These apps offer plenty of customization options and features along with the option of easily setting a different notification tone for each contact.
