It has been almost exactly three months since Oppo officially announced the Find 7, a device with a large and beautiful display, with plenty of specifications packed under the hood. While the wait has been long, the silver lining is that while pre-orders have begun today, June 17, it won’t take long before Oppo’s flagship handset finds its way into homes.

Oppo has opted to put up both the international and U.S.-based version of the handset for pre-order, hopefully making the purchase decision easier for anyone out there, wherever they might be. Better still, both handsets cost the same amount of money at $599, while there may be some disappointment when it comes to color options. The international variant comes in both black and white, while anyone who pre-orders the U.S.-based model will only be given the Astro Black model.

Here’s what you get for $599: A 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1440, a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood, and a 13MP camera on the back, with a 5-megapixel camera on the front. There’s 3GB of RAM, and the device comes loaded with 32GB of built-in storage, with a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 128GB. It’ll be running Android 4.3 right out of the box, and Oppo has preinstalled their ColorOS proprietary skin on top of it. It features a 3,000mAh battery, and Oppo’s Fast Charge Technology.

While the display is obviously one of the key features for the Find 7, another feature worth talking about is the camera’s Pure Image 2.0 image signal processor. It’ll allow the 13-megapixel camera to burst capture 10 photos, and then choose the four best images to combine them into one 50-megapixel “Super Zoom” image.

Are you planning on picking up an Oppo Find 7?
