We have heard about the LG G3 for quite some time now. And plenty of reports have pegged the handset to feature a 2K resolution display, which would give it an upper hand over the competition. A newer report has now confirmed this feature, meaning that the latest LG flagship will have the best pixel density among smartphone displays available in the market today.

Another leak coming from a benchmark screenshot has revealed that the smartphone will pack a MediaTek made octa-core chipset, which could be an interesting feature to watch out for. The handset is certainly turning out to be quite the flagship with a QHD display and the octa core CPU, although previous reports have hinted at the Snapdragon 801 or the 805 being used.

As far as software is concerned, the G3 will supposedly launch with “advanced personalization” options, although there’s no word on what exactly these features will be. It is unlikely that Google would make massive changes to core Android since no major release is scheduled for the foreseeable future, so it’s clear that the changes will be made to LG’s custom UI. Several users have complained that LG almost did too much with its user interface on the G2, so maybe it can tweak that accordingly with its newest device.
