The Nexus 6 is yet to go up for pre-order but its pre-production ROM has made already made its way to the wide world of the Internet, which has been promptly ported to the Nexus 4.

While the port brings a taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Nexus 4, its the apps it packs that makes it more interesting. Unlike the Lollipop Developer preview for the Nexus 5 and 7, the leaked Nexus 6 ROM contains many Lollipop exclusive Google apps along with a Material makeover of some existing apps.

This includes the new Messenger app, Google Fit and an updated version of Play Music, Gmail and Play Books with a Material makeover. Check out their screenshots below.

Sadly, these apps cannot be installed on any normal ROM because they have been signed with test-keys making them incompatible with production firmware.

Nevertheless, if you have a Nexus 4 and are eager to get a taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop along with the new Google apps, head over to this XDA thread for the full installation instructions and download link.
