HTC One M8 announced in red and pink

The HTC One M8 launched with two color options, Gunmetal Grey and Glacial Silver, both of which added to the phone’s beautiful design in a sober way. However, not everyone loves dark and brooding color palettes, and for folks that fall in that camp, HTC has announced red and pink flavors for its latest flagship.

Both new color variations will go on sale in the UK next month, on August 7th. O2 and Carphone Warehouse will be getting exclusive rights on the red and pink colors respectively – the pink version will be available for pre-order from July 25, with all pre-orders to include a free HTC Dot View case. Unfortunately, there is no word on when (or if) the new paint jobs will reach other markets, though we’re guessing retail availability will likely be limited to select countries.

Apart from the flashy new look, there is no change in the device’s specifications, which means you get a 5-inch Full HD display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, an UltraPixel rear camera with a secondary sensor for capturing depth information, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, 16 GB of storage that is expandable via a microSD slot, front-firing stereo BoomSound speakers, a 2,600 mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC’s Sense 6 UI.

What do you think about the new colors for one of the most stunning Android handsets to have launched this year?
