HTC just had their best month since June 2012, though their numbers are still a bit weak

According to The Next Web, who cites HTC’s May 2013 financial data, the company just had their best month of business since June of last year. Sounds awesome, right? Well, not really. May’s numbers are still down 3% compared to May 2012’s numbers. That and let’s not forget the Facebook Phone got killed. The HTC One still isn’t shipping on all four of America’s operators. A bunch of senior employees left the company. And I could go on, but I’m not going to since it would be too mean.

What’s next for HTC? They need to survive the Galaxy S4 marketing campaign, and then they need to make sure that whatever they announce later this year is a smash hit. The One was great, but it didn’t blow people away. Yes, it was built like a tank, a beautiful tank, but the camera was overhyped. That and a lot of people still hate Sense, so we’ll see what happens when the Google Edition One goes on sale late next month.

Update: HTC just announced that their COO has left. Not good.
