The HTC 10 has already leaked in plenty of pictures and press renders and its full specs have also been revealed. However, according to @evleaks, the HTC 10 will use a Super LCD 5 display and not an AMOLED display as rumors have claimed so far.

The last time HTC used an AMOLED display on its flagship smartphone was in 2010, when it launched the HTC Desire. However, due to supply issues, the company had to later switch to an LCD display panel on the handset. Since then, HTC has only used LCD display panels on its flagship Android devices.

The Super LCD 5 display on the ’10’ will be superior to traditional LCD displays as there will be no air gap between the display and the glass panel. This makes the display looks more attractive and also helps in reducing reflectivity. HTC had previously used SLCD3 on the HTC One M8, which back then was considered to be among the very best LCD displays used in a smartphone available in the market at that time.

Additionally, @evlekas also revealed that the HTC 10 will come with a 3,000mAh battery. Combined with the fact that the handset will feature a 5.1-inch Quad HD display and a Snapdragon 820 chipset, it is very much possible that the HTC 10 will deliver better battery life than the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the LG  G5.

HTC is expected to unveil the 10 in April, with the handset hitting the retail stores sometime in early May.
