A) Huawei had initially announced the Honor 5X with a Snapdragon 615 chipset, but then later upgraded it to the Snapdragon 616 chipset via a firmware update. The only difference between the two chipsets is that the low-power A53 cores are clocked at 1.2GHz on the Snapdragon 616 compared to 1GHz on the Snapdragon 615.
Q) Which company owns the Honor brand and has manufactured the Honor 5X?
A) Huawei. They were the third largest smartphone OEM in 2015 and shipped over 100 million smartphones.
Q) Which version of Android does the Honor 5X run out of the box?
A) Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it. Out of the box, the phone also has the December security patch from Google applied.

Q) Does the Honor 5X support Quick Charging?
A) Yes, the Honor 5X supports Quick Charge 2.0, which means that you can charge the phone to nearly 50 percent when charged for only 30 minutes. However, do note that Huawei has not bundled a Quick Charge compatible charger with the Honor 5X, so you need to buy it separately.
