Just a few hours after it started rolling out the OTA update, Google has uploaded the Android 5.0.2 factory image for the Nexus 9 on its website.

The company has uploaded the factory images for both Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the tablet.

Google was widely expected to rollout the Android 5.1 update for the Nexus 9 containing a bunch of performance improvements and bug fixes, but the company instead decided to troll Nexus 9 owners by rolling out the Android 5.0.2 update for them.

Google has already updated all its Nexus devices to Android 5.1 except for the Nexus 9, which has frustrated a lot of owners of the tablet.
