Google is finally getting around to rolling a fix for a bug due to which the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL did not save photos under certain scenarios.

The issue was not as widespread on the Pixel 2 as it has been reported on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The issue was also present on the original Pixel and Pixel 2 and Google is finally getting around to rolling out a fix for this bug for all its Pixel devices.

In fact, if anything, the issue seems to be present right from the Nexus days but it was only after it gained widespread media attention with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL that Google has gotten around to fixing it.

“We will be rolling out a software update in the coming weeks to address the rare case of a photo not properly saving.”

For now, Google is rolling out the fix for all three generations of its Pixel devices, including the original Pixel and Pixel 2.

If early Pixel 3 user reviews are anything to go by, the handsets are filled with plenty of other bugs that Google needs to address. This includes poor RAM management, random slowdowns with the Camera app, and more. Worse, it turns out Google is intentionally limiting the Pixel 3 to 5W wireless charging when charged with third-party wireless chargers.
