Google has released a new ‘Device Assist’ app on the Play Store that aims to help Nexus, GPe and Android One users troubleshoot any problem they are facing with their device.

The app provides users with tips and tricks to use their device more efficiently. It also tries to detect any issue with the device settings, and provides users with a solution to fix them. In case the app is unable to detect or fix the problem, it also allows users to request a callback from Google.

Google Device Assist provides tips and proactive troubleshooting to help you get the most out of your device.

*Get proactive help with detected issues (GPS, connectivity, battery, etc.)

*Get tips to explore new features and improve the performance of your device

*For Nexus and Google Play edition devices, gain easy access to live Google support

App available to Nexus, Google Play edition and Android One devices running Android 5.0, Lollipop.

Don’t except the app to detect low-level hardware or software issues on your Android device though. It is only capable of detecting superficial issues and offer relevant solution to fix them.

As stated in the app description by Google, the app only works on Nexus, Google Play edition and Android One devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop.
