Back in mid-June of this year, I reported that two of HTC’s employees left to start a company called Kazam. Less than five months later, the company has just announced their first devices; seven to be exact. They’re split into two families: Thunder and Trooper. Thunder is the “high end” line, with two devices called the Q4.5 and Q5.0. The latter hasn’t been unveiled yet, but the former has a 4.5 inch 854 x 480 pixel display, some random MediaTek processor, an 8 megapixel camera, and 1 GB of RAM.
As for the Troopers, the X3.5, X4.0, X4.5, X5.0, and X5.5 are relatively “meh”. The number after the X represents the device’s screen size. The latter three devices all have an 854 x 480 pixel screen and 5 megapixel camera. You get to pick how big you want your screen. The X4.0 knocks the resolution down to 800 x 480, and the X3.5 pushes 320 x 480 pixels.
When will these come out? How much will they cost?

Listen, James, you’re not doing anything exciting here. You’re doing what tens, probably even hundreds, of small companies in Taiwan and China have been doing for years. This “fresh” approach to mobile is incredibly stale, and while I wish you success, you should have launched these things with far more information (there’s this thing called video, you know) and concrete pricing and availability information.
Oh and one more thing, your website says Android 4.2 is the latest version of the OS.
Ummm, not really.
