Welcome to today’s edition of AndroidBeat’s daily briefing where we talk about a new BlackBerry handset, OnePlus 5T, root for Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and more.

BlackBerry Motion Unveiled with 4000mAh Battery

Based on the BlackBerry KeyOne, the BlackBerry Motion is an all-touch phone from the company featuring a 5.5-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 12MP rear sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 1.55um large pixel, 8MP front camera, and a gigantic 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The handset is also IP67 certified

The handset will launch in the Middle Eastern markets like the UAE and Saudi Arabia for approximately $460.

Snapdragon Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Rooted

While Samsung phones can be easily rooted, the process ends up tripping KNOX which leads to the warranty of the device being void and other security measures being disabled. Thankfully, for Snapdragon Galaxy Note 8 users though, a new method has been discovered which allows the device to be rooted without tripping KNOX. The method is not without its own issues though as it still causes Google’s SafetyNet API to fail that will lead to certain apps like Netflix not working.

OnePlus 5T with Bezel-Less Display Incoming

Like last year, OnePlus is planning on releasing the OnePlus 5T this year to replace the OnePlus 5. The handset will feature a bezel-less 18:9 FHD+ display at the front. Other changes surrounding the device are unknown at this moment, though its possible that it will also come with an improved dual-camera setup. OnePlus is expected to make the 5 official in November.
