Nexus 5

The Nexus 5 was launched by Google on the Play Store on October 31st, following months of anticipation and leaks. Like the Nexus 4, the fifth iteration of the Nexus line-up was also manufactured by LG, and came in two colors at first — black and white. A third red color was introduced later on.

It packs a 4.95″ 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a 2300mAh battery with wireless charging. It is available in both 16GB and 32GB variants, and lacks any microSD support.

It was the first device to ship with Android 4.4 KitKat, which introduced a new launcher that allows quick access to Google Now, immersive mode, emojis, and Project Svelte — an attempt to make Android leaner and better suited for lesser hardware.
