OPPO devices come with a highly customized version of Android, known as ColorOS, which is packed to the brim with features. The company has now decided that it wants LG G2 users to experience its version of Android and has started a recruitment program where interested G2 owners can apply and run ColorOS on their handset. 

There is a slight catch with ColorOS though — it is still based on Android 4.3 KitKat, which is now nearly an year old. The ROM is still in beta so you are bound to run into a few issues here and there.

Right now, OPPO’s ColorOS is only compatible with the D802 variant of the LG G2. It is not yet clear if the company plans on adding support for other variants of the G2 down the line or not.

Sadly though, this piece of news has not gone down too well with owners of OPPO devices. Instead of devoting resources to update its ColorOS to Android 4.4 KitKat and updating the Find 5 and Find 7 to ColorOS 2.0, the company has decided to bring ColorOS to a non-OPPO device.
