First Android ar smartwatches shipping now as war for your wrist winds up

Samsung have started shipping the first couple of smartwatches running Android ar, ‘s bid to get into wearable tech.

Both the Samsung Gear ve G tch are available through the ay Store will ship within one or two business days. AT&T also plans to sell the G tch starting ly 11, Best Buy will carry both smartwatches if you want to see them up close.

Samsung’s Gear ve is the cheaper of the two, at $199. Its 320-by-320 resolution Super AMOD display measures 1.63 inches, there’s a 300 mAh battery inside. The Gear ve also includes a heart rate monitor sports some metal trim around the watch face on the clasp.

‘s G tch costs $229, has a 1.65-inch, 280-by-280 resolution D display. It has a larger battery than Samsung’s watch, at 400 mAh, it comes in either all-black or gold trim with a white b.

Both watches have 1.2 GHz processors, 512 MB of RAM 4 GB of internal storage, they’re both rated I7 water dust resistant. They also run nearly identical software, per ‘s requirements, though they have different selections of watch faces.
