At the end of this week, HTC has a “For U” event planned, where it’s expected the company will unveil a brand new flagship.

That high-end smartphone is said to be codenamed “Ocean Note,” and, thanks to images recently published on the social network Weibo, what is said to be the first look at the handset has been revealed. The images show off the protruding camera on the back, along with capacitive buttons on either side of a front-facing fingerprint reader.

The most notable aspect of the photos is the inclusion of a secondary display, above the main display. This area is shown off with a series of app icons for things like Twitter, the camera, and other apps. It also displays the time, date, and battery percentage when the main display is off.

Rumors have suggested the Ocean Note will boast a 6-inch display, and feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood. We don’t have long to wait to find out if any of these aspects, especially the images, are true.
