HTC U Ultra

HTC officially unveiled the U Ultra back in January, and, at the time, didn’t have any additional information to provide regarding a specific launch date other than “first quarter of 2017.”

The company did open up pre-orders for the U Ultra at the time, potentially leaving would-be owners waiting for quite some time before they got their hands on the new flagship smartphone. Turns out the wait is almost over. HTC has confirmed the launch date for the U Ultra.

According to the company’s recently-updated website for the smartphone, the U Ultra, in all three of its colors, begins shipping on Friday, March 10. So for those who pre-ordered, the handset will be leaving warehouses soon and head ultimately to your doorstep. For those who haven’t purchased the phone yet, it retails for $749.00.

If you’ve forgotten, here are the specs for the U Ultra:

  • 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 821 CPU
  • 5.7-inch Quad HD display (2560×1440)
  • 2.05-inch secondary display (160×1040)
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage
  • 3,000 mAh battery
  • 12-UltraPixel rear-facing camera with 4K video recording
  • 16-megapixel front-facing camera with 1080p video recording
  • Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense
  • HTC USonic (BoomSound with Adaptive Audio)
