Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL during its October 4 event. Thanks to a new leak, we’re getting a very good look of the two handsets and the color variants they will be sold in. Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL leaked
A new leak has spilled some interesting details on the upcoming Pixel handsets. The Pixel 2 will be produced by HTC while the Pixel 2 XL will be coming from LG. The Pixel 2 will be sold in “Kinda Blue”, “Just Black”, and “Clearly White” color variants, and will be available with 64 and 128GB of storage priced at $649 and $749 respectively.
The Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, will only be available in a Black and White skin and “Just Black”. The 64 and 128GB variants of the Pixel 2 XL will set you back by $849 and $949 respectively, venturing into the Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X territory.
Upgraded Daydream View headset launching for $99
The new Daydream View headset will be sold in Charcoal, Fog, and Coral variants with a price tag of $99, which is a $20 increase over last year’s pricing. Google has started building support for Daydream since last year, and with newer smartphones coming through with Daydream support built-in, the company can hope this new headset to grab more eyeballs in the market.
Sony Xperia XZ1 launched in the U.S. with Android 8.0
The Xperia XZ1 is officially available for purchase in the U.S. today sporting Android 8.0 Oreo on board. This is the first handset in the U.S. to feature Android 8.0 by default. However, the exclusivity will be short lived with the imminent arrival of the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL.
The Xperia XZ1 comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, the octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM, a 19MP rear camera, and a 13MP front camera. The phone will retail for $699.99 in the region.
