LG-V510 isn’t exactly a name that rolls off the tongue, but that’s allegedly the product name of the successor to the current Samsung-manufactured Nexus 10. That device has just passed through the WiFi Alliance’s labs, with a certificate date of October 25th (PDF file). All anyone can tell from the document itself is that both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 Ghz WiFi is supported, as well as Miracast. It’s also worth noting that the same LG-V510 tablet received Bluetooth certification just a few short weeks ago according to Droid-Life.
How sure are we that the LG-V510 is actually the Nexus 10? Earlier this month, a disgruntled O2 employee leaked an image of the LG Nexus 10, along with a detailed spec sheet, and yes, that “LG-V510” model number was on the spec sheet. What sort of specs can we look forward to seeing? Snapdragon 800, of course, 3 GB of RAM, and the same insanely high 2560 by 1600 pixel resolution panel.
When will Google officially unveil this new Nexus 10? That’s the million dollar question. People thought Google would announce the Nexus 10 on the same day they announced the Nexus 5, but that obviously didn’t happen. With just a few more weeks to go until the end of 2013, it’s possible that this device will be delayed until 2014, but then again I have fond memories of the December 2010 launch of the Nexus S, so anything is possible.
