The latest tool in HTC’s quest to pump you up is Fun Fit, a fitness tracking app that turns you your Facebook friends into zany animal avatars.

It stores all the usual exercise information, like your number of steps, calories burned, minutes that you work out daily. Fun Fit tries to be a little more, well, fun, by displaying your profile any friends you drag in as cute animals.

It works on most modern phones (not just HTC models), like the Galaxy Note 4, Nexus 6, Galaxy S5. Fun Fit also compiles your records by day, week, month for longer-term comparisons.

The story behind the story: This is the latest fitness-focused move from HTC, which recently revealed the HTC Grip activity-tracking b at Mobile rld Congress. The device is part of HTC’s partnership with Under Armour, aimed at boosting the company’s competitiveness in the fast-growing world of wearables.
