Samsung is building an improved fingerprint sensor into the Galaxy S6 that would enable unlocking the phone with a quick touch hold.

According to SamMobile, it will work just like the sensors on the ione 6, 6 us, Android-based Huawei Ascend Mate 7.

The Galaxy S5 has a fingerprint sensor, but it requires you to slide your finger over the home button to unlock the phone or enter a stored password—with the ione you just touch hold on the button for the phone to unlock. Samsung’s software also only captures part of your finger, so if you don’t register multiple portions of your finger it can make unlocking the device a game of trial–error.

The fingerprint software also connects to yl a Samsung account, eliminating the need to enter a password when using those services. If Samsung opens this up, it could make mobile payments or access to other online services much faster.

y this matters: A fingerprint sensor would give the Galaxy S6 a nice feature to hold over its competitors. The Galaxy S5 was rather vanilla didn’t sell as well as expected, so Samsung may be pulling out all the stops to once again turn everyone’s heads. If Samsung is dialing back Touchz stepping up the hardware quality, the Galaxy S6 could be a pretty cool phone.
