The Motorola Droid Turbo could solve all your battery woes if it lives up to its pledged 48 hours of life.
Motorola lifted the veil on the Droid Turbo Tuesday, showing off a phone that lines up pretty well with what’s already been leaked. The Verizon-exclusive packs a 3900mAh battery, which Motorola claims can last up to two days. The Droid Turbo also ships with Motorola’s Turbo Charger, which gives the battery 8 hours of life after 15 minutes of charging.
The Droid Turbo has the same 5.2-inch display of the Moto X, but it boasts an increased 2560×1440 “Quad HD” resolution screen, Snapdragon’s top 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, support for Verizon’s XE network, a 21Mcamera.
The other specs on the Droid Turbo can’t compete with those high-end highights. You may be disappointed at the capacitive buttons, for instance, as Motorola opted not to follow Android’s on-screen navigation scheme. Some will find the Kevlar-backed versions sleek hsomely rugged, while others may think they’re too ugly or muscular.
The Droid Turbo will be available from Verizon on October 30 for $199.99 on contract for a 32GB model or $249.99 for the 64GB version. The three options include a black Ballistic Nylon that has an even tougher aluminum exterior, or the Kevlar-backed Metallic Black or Red.
