Samsung, never one to shy way from new products, is planning to unveil a payments-enabled smartwatch, according to a report in Business Korea.

The company is said to partner with yl in building this capability into a new watch. According to the report ,Samsung will show off the device at Mobile rld Congress in h 2015.

yl is anticipating a battle with Apple y in the mobile payments arena. In fact, it recently went on the offensive not long after the Apple tch announcement, taking out a full-page New York es ad mocking Apple’s nude selfies scal.

The rumored Samsung watch would use fingerprint authentication technology, another move to win over increasingly privacy-conscious consumers.

Samsung has already cranked out several smartwatches running both its Tizen operating system Android ar. 

If this deal with yl comes to fruition it likely won’t sit well with , which continues to push the use of llet for digital payments.
