Android users may soon be able to access their s remotely without any extra desktop software besides ’s Chrome browser.

According to GigaOM , is now testing a version of Chrome Remote Desktop for Android devices among a small group of beta users. A rollout for all users is likely coming soon.

though GigaOM’s story didn’t offer any more details, employee Francois Beaufort was able to build a working version from source code a few weeks ago. He noted that the app supports gestures such as two-finger scrolling, pinch-to-zoom three-finger swipe to bring up the virtual keyboard.

Chrome Remote Desktop is already available through the Chrome browser for ndows, Mac OS X, nux. It lets users control the desktop of any other computer running Chrome, either for technical support or for accessing files programs that aren’t on the local machine. has been working on an Android version of this feature for nearly a year.
